The company all started as a forge in the town of Wald in North Rhine-Westphalia in 1846. It was originally owned by Josua Kortz along with his any friends along with his nephew Robert Krups. The son of Robert Krups which was also named after him was then the one who made great efforts in transforming the forge into an commercial company.
In 1866 the company then started delivering its products to Holland and Switzerland until it became one of Germany's top manufacturers in 1900. Krups has been well known as a prominent builder of kitchen tools and appliances bringing a more meaningful essence to food preparations.
